The 68th WAFP House of Delegates will be held April 25, 2025, at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson.
We hope you will join us!
Delegates
The WAFP House of Delegates happens annually in April. The purpose of the event is to help steer the agenda for the state academy and work towards its mission and vision. In January, the state academy informs each chapter how many delegates they have based on the current membership rolls. Typically the King County academy has a substantial amount of representation. The physical location of the HOD rotates around the state. WAFP might offer some form of travel reimbursement dependent on how far an individual has to travel. Interested in learning more or coming in 2025, email [email protected] or [email protected]. Sign up to be a delegate: Medical Students and Residents in King County have their own contingencies and should Register via the WAFP website. |
Resolutions
It's never too early to think about writing resolutions to be submitted by our chapter to the Washington State Academy. The King County Chapter usually submits resolutions after careful consideration of the Board of Directors. We plan a resolution tutorial at our December board meeting with brain storming in January, and vote on which ones to support at our February meeting. Previous resolutions passed can be viewed at the WAFP website under the Get Involved, House of Delegate tab. Please submit resolution drafts via e-mail by the end of December to be voted on by the KCAFP Board of Directors. If you miss this deadline, you are able to submit your resolution directly to WAFP staff at [email protected] (co-authored by at least two full WAFP members) directly to the WAFP. Final resolutions are due to the WAFP in February. Check their website for official deadlines. |
